Through the Bible in 2008

Thoughts On The Way blog has introduced me to the Bible reading plan of Robert Murray McCheyne, compiled in 1842. See it and/or download the file from here. The schedule allows you to read through the Old Testament once and the New Testament and Psalms twice in a year. The guys at Thoughts On The Way are offering encouragement and accountability for those that want to commit to this along with them. I imagine that great friendships will develop as the passages are discussed and reflected upon there on their blog over the course of the year.

I am still undecided if I plan to commit to this as I have been using MacArthur's method of reading through 7 chapters of a particular New Testament book each night for a month, allowing you to memorize and become familiar with the Bible through repetition. Nevertheless, I thought that there may be some here that would like to join the guys at Thoughts On The Way in this venture.

A note from Mason at Thoughts On The Way-
"Remember - this type of plan is about joyful communion with Christ, not bondage. I want to do everything in my power to ensure the latter doesn't come to pass."
