Prayer Reminder For The Street Preachers

With a new year upon us and a new college semester starting up, it is a good time to remember the street preachers among us in our prayers. May God continue to work through them to reconcile men and women to Himself through the preaching of the gospel.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
-Romans 1:16

I have sometimes wondered/thought about preaching. Yet, I have always been the shy type, and not good in front of crowds. Should I, then, recognize that maybe "preaching" (in the sense of being in front of a crowd) is not what God wants ME to do? Or should I just get it within myself to go out in spite of myself?

I have felt the same way J. Morgan. After hearing a round of Paul Washer sermons, in my mind I envision myself in front of a large outdoor gathering belting forth a similar message and revival breaks out.

In reality, I am shy, quiet, my voice isn't loud and doesn't carry, and I often have a hard time of getting out what I want to say. Despite that, I pray that I can still be faithful in whatever position God puts me in whether it is a mouth or a little toe in the body of Christ.

Ok, yeah, that is pretty much how I thought of it. That is why, me being a writer and Journalism major at Temple U, I do what I can to "preach" (without being preachy) through my writing.
