Recover The Gospel

2007 was a great year of growth for me in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and His glorious gospel as I was awakened to the error of the easy-believism and cheap grace messages that I had grown up on. This was much in part through the hearing of the powerful preaching of Paul Washer. Since then, my primary aim for this blog has been to call for a return to the biblical gospel message and methods in evangelism. Michael Horton writes, "Grace is the gospel. The extent to which we are unclear about who does what in salvation is the degree to which we will obscure the gospel."

I have found the following books to be very helpful and would recommend them for further looking into this all important subject.

Today's Evangelism by Ernest Reisinger

Tell the Truth
by Will Metzger

Getting Evangelicals Saved
by Paris Reidhead

Today's Gospel Authentic or Synthetic by Walter Chantry

And finally, Charles Leiter's Justification and Regeneration takes a detailed look at what the Bible says about these two great works of God in salvation and the actualities of being 'born again.'
