The Free Will Song?

In praise of man's will.

The "Joy Quartet" at Pensacola Christian College teach us about the doctrine of free will. Let's see who can last the entire 4 min. 14 seconds without pulling out their hair.

I did not make it past the intro.

...also does anyone else find it ironic that they had the nerve to sing this song right after singing Jehovah Reigns? It sounds as though He only reigns over ocean boundries and cattle but not over the "sovereighn free will" of created man.

Ugh. That made my belly cringe. The song almost sounds cultic to me.

3:22 that's all I could manage. Guess "free will" backfired.

2:30 is all I could stand. That was bad.

The song appears to be a train wreck of contradictions. It switches between talking about God's dominion over the world, and then says it stops at us, and He has no control over us.

I made it but laughed a lot and threw up in my mouth twice.

Who are they praising? God or themselves for being so smart and good to choose God?

I find it also ironic that they were predestined to sing a heretical song.

I utilised my freewill and decided to turn that drivel off. I feel sorry for the Calvinists at that college...
